Make history with your group!

Historic Philadelphia offers many group opportunities both day and night! Start off with an adventure into the 18th century with Once Upon A Nation, putt around a mini Philadelphia at Franklin Square, walk in the footsteps of our nations flag maker at the Betsy Ross House and by night take in a live show or a moon-lit journey with Lights of Liberty!

Reservations

  • Once Upon A Nation - Groups start at 20 people
  • Franklin Square - Groups start at 20 people
  • Lights of Liberty - Groups start at 15 people
  • Betsy Ross House - No reservations needed

Reservations and advanced payment are necessary for groups. Groups are not guaranteed admittance without a reservation.

Founding Fathers/Mothers Program

Get your history in the first person, from the likes of historical figures such as George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, John Adams, Betsy Ross, or Martha Washington. This engaging presentation will give you an exclusive look into the minds of the great men and women who shaped our nation. Questions and interactions are encouraged. Don’t forget your camera!

Black History leaders are also available

  • Group minimum – 20 people
  • Running Time – 50 minutes

A Soldiers Life

Join a Revolutionary-Era Soldier as he discusses the daily life-style of a typical infantryman in the American Continental Army during the American Revolution. Students will have the opportunity to be fitted up with equipment and gear along with the proper training of the day. Highly energized and interactive, this program is perfect for Middle School and High School students.

Civil War Soldiers are also available

  • Running Time – 50 minutes

Story Stroll

On this one hour adventure, your group will be escorted through the historic area behind Independence Hall by one of our dynamic Once Upon A Nation Storytellers. Along the way, you will not only hear about the buildings and sights you are passing, you will be entertained with true stories from history that even most adults have never heard!

Themed Story Strolls are available.

  • Group minimum – 20 people
  • Running Time – 60 minutes

History Makers, Historical Re-Enactors & Storytellers

Make your group’s visit to Philadelphia unforgettable! Our dynamic Storytellers and costumed History Makers are available for private group appearances. Book Benjamin Franklin to speak to your group over dinner at City Tavern, have a storyteller meet your group in Franklin Square for stories over lunch, or book several of our extraordinary colonial townspeople for a meet and greet at your next event.
